Earlier this fall for the University of Atlantia, I did a presentation on how the Black Death played out in Italy during the 1340s. I’m still trying to figure out a good way to share slides on this WordPress blog but for now, have a link to the slides on Google Drive:

Giving that talk gave me some really good ideas for how to make it better in the future. I’m going to Venice this December so I’m planning to propose a geographically narrower version of this presentation (with a longer time range) using what I learn on that trip as well as additional research. After that point, I may also try to record some iteration of this as an online lecture or series of articles. We shall see.
